Chloe started off as a sort of nickname.  It came about my freshman year of college around spring break (of course lol).  Everybody wanted a fake name and Chloe was mine.  For whatever reason that I still don’t know, even when break was over and we returned to school, some of my peers stuck with calling me Chloe.  Most people said it was because the name Britannica was too long.  I never would have guessed that I would be Chloe still for years to come and I definitely wouldn’t have thought it would be the brand it has evolved to today…

Honestly, I’ve never had a plan.  From age three until now I had no idea what I wanted to be and changed my mind multiple times. At age 8 I settled on being a fashion designer and stuck with that ambition until age 17 when I became president of FBLA at my high school.  When it came to applying to colleges, I got accepted to different art schools but decided I wanted the full college experience. I ended up taking the business route as I convinced myself that fashion could be gained from experience.  However, I could never just put my passion aside so I expressed myself via how I dressed throughout college wearing a lot of vintage items and thrifting.  I graduated from Georgia Southern University in May of 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a minor in Information Systems and SAP.  I chose marketing because I felt every company could use that in almost any industry and since I had no idea what I wanted to do, I figured it would give me a good bit of options. I headed off to Corporate America as Britannica not knowing that Chloe would be the one to evolve and help me find my path and follow my dreams.

After being in corporate America for about 4 months, I knew there was something else I was supposed to be doing that didn’t involve me sitting at a desk for 8 hours.  I knew that I still did not want to take the designer route didn't want to work in sales either which is what marketing usually means.  I started a blog highlighting small businesses and individuals in the fashion and beauty industry but little by little as I was discovered and my brand evolved, I received a lot of inquiring about who did my branding and marketing designs and when I told people I did it all myself, it took me to a whole new level.  Long story short, The Chloe Branding Co. was born and here we are today. I  truly couldn't be more proud.  Even though I know I have a long way to go, the progress is still unbelievable.
